The Village Voice wrote some free verse poetry based on Tiger Wood’s Sexts. It reminded me of something my friend Lily wrote for a Berkeley poetry class that is comprised solely of quotes from our epic Facebook wall to wall. Um, without the sexual references. Click on to read her masterpiece.
i made a list of life goals
i want to share them with you:
be humans and not criminals
bring cowboy boots back
less peanut butter
write my choose your own adventure novel
memorize my monologue about testicles
take dance classes not from savage
wake up
save you from duct tape holding intruders
each hour eat a different flavor cupcake
cease diet that consists solely of chocolate, cheese, bread, and alcohol
poke jack in the eye and suffer the consequences
be social
learn how to make good coffee
if i cannot do schoolwork then do not waste time with internet stalking activities
wear items like zippered multicolored boots
don’t complain
hook up w/a freshman
stop breaking electronical equipment
don’t spend all day in bed
keep room clean for at least three days
stop going on facebook
summary of your life:
“im living my youth”, while calling collect from a payphone.
my stomach hurts.
im 90% sure i am a piece of dried fruit.
who says we’re not party animals?”
